in the pecking order used to be Sweetpea. Sweetpea was very shy
and mild manned till Zelda showed up. Sweetpea ran at her full
smashing into Zelda all day long. Sweetpea then strutted
around very proudly. Poppy, the other young goat was visibly
shaken by this violence. It was sad. By the next day Zelda and
Sweetpea became best friends. The violence subsided. Today
I hugged both Zelda and Sweetpea. I hugged them with a goat
on each side of my face hugging me back. They made little
emotional sounds. They touched my heart. I am so happy they
are friends.
For a while Topaz would not accept even a carrot from me unless
I washed my hands in front of her because I had touched the goats
or she heard me talking to the goats. Now I tell her that I touched a goat but I washed my hands, then she will accept food
from me. I feel lucky to be an animal servant. They make me
laugh very hard every day. |

I hold down branches they cant reach so they can eat the leaves. Now when
they see me coming one or two of them stand on their hind legs and flail
their front legs towards the sky. They are asking me to do it again. |

That is a wonderful story of goat pecking order. It made my day. |

day. I feel very fortunate to be around so many loving animals. I don't
mind the work. I have been taking lots more photos and video clips
with my new camera. The video clips are hilarious. I hope to find a way
to post them somewhere so I can share my joy with others. This weekend
I am going to upgrade my computer so I can burn DVDs and share them that
way. As soon as time permits I will find a way to post them on You Tube
or somewhere. I have too much fun to not share it. |
